The problem

Speaking is the hardest skill to scale.

Reading and writing scale with worksheets and LMS quizzes. Speaking does not. The result is a structural gap between what programs are graded on and what learners actually get to practice.

~3 min

Speaking time per learner per class

In a 90-minute class of 20, individual speaking time collapses to a few minutes — far below what proficiency targets require.

1 : many

Instructor capacity ceiling

A single instructor cannot give every learner timely feedback on pronunciation, fluency, and structure across a full cohort.

Opaque

Visibility into speaking progress

Programs track completion, attendance, and grades — but rarely have data on whether speaking is actually improving over time.

The platform

One platform for spoken-language practice and oversight.

Learners practice scenario-based speaking tasks with a real-time AI partner. Instructors receive structured signal on every session — what was said, how it scored, where the gaps are — without grading audio by hand.

  • Real-time AI conversation partner with sub-second feedback
  • Scenario-based tasks aligned to your curriculum, not open chat
  • Per-session rubric scoring on a transparent 1–3 scale
  • Aggregate dashboards for cohort-level patterns and at-risk learners

Product

Built for both sides of the classroom.

A learner experience that gets students speaking from minute one, paired with an instructor surface that turns every session into actionable signal.

Real-time speaking with structured tasks

  • Scenario-based tasks with explicit communicative goals
  • Learner-paced hint escalation when a student gets stuck
  • Live transcription so progress is visible in the moment

Outcomes

What changes when speaking practice is no longer the bottleneck.

24/7

Speaking access

Learners practice between classes — not just during them — without adding instructor hours.

Per session

Measurable progress

Every practice session produces a structured score, transcript, and feedback record. Progress becomes a curve, not a guess.

Hours back

Instructor time

AI handles repetitive feedback on pronunciation and structure. Instructors invest their time where human judgement matters.

Use cases

Wherever spoken language matters.

Flowent is designed to slot into existing programs — not replace them. Pilot with a single course, evaluate the data, expand from there.

Language schools

Bridge the gap between class hours.

Give every learner consistent speaking practice between sessions, with progress your team can act on.

  • Assign scenario practice as homework
  • See who is and isn't practicing
  • Identify learners who need extra support

Universities

Scale spoken-language instruction.

Equip language departments with a measurable speaking layer that complements existing curriculum and assessment.

  • Map tasks to course outcomes
  • Per-cohort analytics for program reviews
  • EU-hosted infrastructure for institutional procurement

Independent educators

Multiply your one-on-one impact.

Give every student structured speaking practice between lessons without spending evenings reviewing audio.

  • Assign tasks tailored to each learner
  • Review highlights instead of full sessions
  • Track progress without spreadsheets

Corporate training

Communication training that’s actually used.

Deploy role-aligned speaking scenarios so professional language training translates into real meeting performance.

  • Custom scenarios for industry contexts
  • Cohort dashboards for L&D teams
  • Self-paced practice between facilitator sessions

Pedagogy + Data

Built for measurable language outcomes

Flowent combines task-based methodology with actionable classroom analytics so practice is rigorous, not just frequent.

🧩

Task-Aligned Practice

Learners practise through outcome-driven scenarios, not open-ended chat, so each session maps to communicative competence goals.

📈

Progress Signals You Can Use

Track trends in fluency, repairs, and consistency to inform coaching, grouping, and intervention decisions.

🕒

Scalable Instructor Time

AI handles repetitive feedback loops and immediate pronunciation correction, freeing instructors for higher-value teaching.

Languages

Support multilingual programs.

Run a consistent methodology across 10 languages with one platform and one instructor experience.

Pilots & Proof

Active pilots in progress with European language programs.

We’re working directly with a small group of partner institutions to validate outcomes before publishing case studies. We’d rather show real data than logos.

  • Closed pilots with EU university language departments
  • Case studies and outcome data: publishing as pilots conclude
  • Reference conversations available under NDA on request

Vision

Every language learner deserves the speaking practice that today only the most resourced programs can provide.

Flowent was built on a simple observation: speaking is the skill that matters most in language acquisition, and the one that scales worst. Recent advances in real-time speech models finally make it possible to give every learner a competent speaking partner — at any hour, in any institution, for the cost of software rather than the cost of an additional instructor.

Our goal is to become the default speaking layer for language programs across Europe and beyond — operated by educators, evaluated against pedagogical standards, and built to make instructors more effective rather than less essential.

Institution FAQ

Questions from program leads, instructors, and IT.

How does Flowent fit into existing language courses?

Use Flowent as guided out-of-class speaking practice or in-class station work. Scenario tasks can be aligned to weekly objectives and assessment rubrics, and instructors retain full control over what is assigned and when.

Where is data hosted, and how is learner data handled?

AI processing runs in the EU (Frankfurt). Audio is processed in real time and is not stored after the session ends; only structured transcripts and scores are persisted. We do not sell or share learner data, and the underlying models do not train on your sessions.

Can program leads monitor progress without reviewing every session?

Yes. The dashboards summarise key trends and flag learners who need support so coordinators and instructors can prioritise their time. Per-session reviews are available when a deeper look is needed.

Does this replace instructors?

No. Flowent expands speaking opportunities and feedback volume; instructors remain essential for instruction, coaching, and evaluation. Most programs use Flowent to multiply instructor effectiveness, not to substitute for it.

How does pricing work?

Pricing is per institution and depends on cohort size and rollout shape. We typically start with a paid pilot scoped to a single course or program, then expand from there. Get in touch via the demo form for a tailored quote.

Can programs start small?

Yes. Most partners begin with a single course or instructor, evaluate outcomes against their existing assessments, and expand once their team validates the fit.
